Stayed one night. Very reasonable price. Was nice. Our room was clean, just a bit outdated. Convenient to just back up to the door for unloading. We got there in the evening. The bed was very comfortable. The shower in our room was excellent. The shower handle needed to be fixed though, & I told the maintenance guy. I think there was coffee and maybe a doughnut, but we chose to go to Burger King for breakfast. Very nice guy running the front desk. When we left, he actually gave us 2 stocking hats with the hotel name on them as he thought, where we come from, is probably a lot colder which it is. And they’re just kind of hats My husband loves to wear.:) we’d stay there again.
Price for what it is was reasonable considering the very high prices or very poor ratings of other motels in Carlsbad. Staff was excellent on the phone and at checkin. Slightly odd, a little annoying, they knocked on our door at 9 to “remind” us that checkout is at 11. Room was clean. Did not get to use the pool, but it’s there, outdoors and a cute kiddo play area.
I stayed here because of the wind in carlsbad. I enjoyed it very much large room, great shower refrigerator and microwave very clean. Wod differently come back and recmend it to everyone.
Dated but clean, love these old motor lodges. Comfortable but bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Friendly staff, good price, great coffee in the lobby (none on room). No frills but was not expecting any.
By appearance, it looks like any other roadside motel. I've stayed here multiple times when I am in town. The rooms are clean. The a/c and heat works well. The bathroom is clean and the shower has good water pressure and hot water. I pay around $80 per night and compared to other places to stay, I consider it a value.
The room was clean and fresh. There was a nice refrigerator with freezer and a microwave oven. AC blew ice cold. Linens all smelled fresh and the room was stocked with plenty of soap and shampoo. Convenience store and a Mexican restaurant basically on-site. Since i love good ice, i should mention they have an amazing ice maker in the lobby. This was perfect for the 1 night we stayed.
This is perfect if you like to travel simple. Ground level only, pull up to your door, nice clean rooms. Mini fridge, microwave in room, plus it had a ceiling fan. The attached Mexican restaurant was delicious! Very reasonably priced.
This place is really interesting to stay at. I had no issues the rooms were always clean and the staff courteous. I appreciated them and the little dog too.
